Enphase’s Daylight Savings Glitch: What Really Happened
If you opened your Enphase Enlighten app this Sunday and saw missing data or flatline graphs, you weren’t alone. Enphase experienced a widespread monitoring glitch that coincided with the daylight savings time change — and it sent plenty of solar owners (and contractors like me) scrambling to figure out what was going on.
Here’s the good news: your system was still producing power the entire time. This was a monitoring issue, not a production issue. Live data continued to display correctly, even though historical graphs temporarily disappeared. Enphase quickly acknowledged the issue in the app and began working on a fix.
Some users also saw their gateways blink red or briefly go offline, adding to the confusion. Those reconnected automatically once communications caught up, with no action required from the homeowner.
Software hiccups like this happen from time to time, especially around time changes and updates. It’s frustrating, but it doesn’t affect how your system performs — only how it reports. The best move is simply to wait it out and check the app periodically for Enphase updates.
If you experience an issue like this, always check the Live Status page (note: some older systems do not have this feature) and see if your solar panels are producing power at that instant. If they are, it is probably just a lag in the data reporting for the graphs.
