| NOTES | This home in Cape Coral, FL has a huge tree in the front yard, shading the best south roof. As a result, we selected a west roof and smaller south roof to minimize shading impacts and maximize solar pool heating performance. We over-sized the system a little bit because the west roof is actually a few degrees north of true west. As the orientation moves north of true east or west the performance of solar pool heating panels will start to decrease pretty dramatically. This effect is lessened with shallow roof pitches, and this roof is only a 4 in 12 pitch. |
