Hello, my name is Drew and I live in Naples, FL. I wanted to provide a review of my experience having a photo voltaic energy system installed. The system I... ... had envisioned included a ground mount system with 32 solar panels, 3 Enphase batteries for storage and an existing whole house generator redundant backup. I was having difficulty with the sub-contractor who was installing my system, a Lotus something out of the Orlando area. Things were progressing very slowly if at all. I had mentioned this with my neighbor who called me over because she had a “solar guy” looking to fix her system as well. I met Jason of Florida Solar Design Group. He told me that he had 13 years experience working with Enphase systems. He offered to look at my system even though I was under contract with another company. After listening to Jason’s comments, I called my contractor and to my surprise, they knew each other. To make a long story short, Jason was hired to replace the existing sub-contractor. He corrected the wiring issues: the sub-contractor had removed all the color coded wiring to the generator and replaced them with all black wiring that were hooked up incorrectly and caused the fuse to trip every time the generator was tested. It also burned out the circuit board on the generator. He worked directly with my Generac dealer to ensure that everything was corrected. He also worked with Enphase to set up my system’s communication with Enphase and see that it worked properly. My takeaways from this experience is deal with someone who gives honest advise and stands by their word. Thank you Jason.

Florida Solar Design Group was selected as the installer for the SWFL solar co-op. They had a great package. They weren't pushy at all. Answered all my questions.... ... When I finally decided to move forward, installation was quick and easy. They handled everything!

I can’t say enough about Jason, his staff and crew. The level of responsiveness is unparalleled, the level professionalism is typically unseen in this or any other construction industry. Jason... ... makes sure to walk the customer through the best options available. He educates his customers. Susan in the office was awesome! Very communicative and great sense of humor. It was the best service I’ve received of any contractor in the state of Florida. Pricing was excellent as well. I wish I owned more houses to put him to work more! Jason was also on-site at my home, and was readily accessible for any questions.

Jason and his team have been a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. As with any system of this complexity, there were a few glitches (mainly enphase related) however... ... Jason worked through start up process directly with factory and resolved all issues. Their team has responded promptly and professionally throughout. One of those vendors that you find now and then that you wish all others we like. We are 110% pleased with the system and end results. Be prepared to wait on FPL for permit approvals, etc. but in the end, it will get done!

Florida Solar Design Group provided excellent service throughout our installation. During the design phase, they addressed all of our questions and provided multiple customized options so that we could choose... ... the system that works best for us. They made the permitting, HOA approval, and FPL net metering processes as easy as possible. Installation went very smoothly, and the end products looks great and is producing the expected output. FSDG communicated with us throughout the process and met or exceeded all of their commitments. I am completely satisfied with FSDG’s work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar installation.

This company is the best....I sent a message thru their website on a Saturday because I needed a new valve actuator installed. Jason called me back within 15 minutes (never... ... expected that) and told me he was in my area and could be here in 10 minutes. He came and installed the valve and my solar is up and running. That was the greatest thing that happened to me since the hurricane. Incredible customer service.

I had a horrible experience with another solar company that just decided to up and disappear. I called Florida Solar Design and explained the situation I was in. Jason came... ... by and helped me on finishing the project and even correcting some of the error the original installers made. All in all I wished I've would of known of florida solar design in the beginning. It would have saved me from a lot a heartache

Great quality, informative company!

There is a reason FSDG has 200+ 5-star reviews. Whenever I make a significant investment, I like to first do my due diligence, especially when I have no knowledge... ... of the product. That generally means internet research with multiple bids and discussions, etc. I first contacted FSDG based on all the overwhelming positive reviews. Dominic returned my call promptly and we met a few days later. He is so enthusiastic about solar energy that it is infectious. He and his business partner (Jason) have been in the business the better part of 20 years and they are intimately familiar with all aspects of solar energy from the makeup of the panels (silicon), to their efficiency (generally able to process 20% of solar energy into usable energy), and where they are produced (Texas). I learned about alternating and direct currents and about micro-inverters. I had already made the decision, but the team of Dominick and Jason made that so much easier. They took care of everything from the permits, to the install, to the follow up with FPL to get me “on-line”. And, by the way, their bid was significantly more competitive than other bids we received. I still enjoy looking at my energy production app on a daily basis to watch my ROI in real time. Thank you Dominic, Jason, and Florida Solar Design Group for bringing me into the 21st century!

Highly recommend this company! We have been working with Dominick and Jason for a while now when they installed our solar years ago. They made the whole process seamless,... ... explained everything in detail to us. Since then they have been servicing our solar and are always so wonderful to work with. Responsive, quick, and always a pleasure to work with. Recently we had Manny come out to do a technical repair and he was just as great to work with.

I did a deep dive in researching solar companies that do business in Southwest Florida. Florida Solar Design Group rose from the very convoluted pack as the best. I stared this project as replacement for solar pool heater panels and ended with 27 solar panels and couldn’t be happier. We approached Florida Solar Design Group as I had... ... liked working with Dominick at his prior firm and trusted his advice. Absolutely no pressure, very educational all the way. Their proposal was more professional and transparent compared to the other proposals I had received. After a lot of research a few changes and a very patient sales team, we had a deal. I felt the best price from the most professional company. Every step of the way, FSDG performed as they said they would a head of schedule all done in the most professional way. That would be thanks to Susan!. Even FPL and Collier county performed ahead of all expectations and I was fully operational and productive a month and half a head off when I would have anticipated. No common supply chain issues or regulatory issues we have come to expect. The product looks better on the house than I expected and Jason was involved during the installation and personally trained me on the system that day when the install was done. I have waited a month to write a review because I kept waiting for something to go wrong. To date, I could not be happier and I recommend Florida Solar Design Group as the best contractor I ever worked with for any project. One last piece of advise, make sure you with a firm that has experience working with the county and electric company where you live, I believe that familiarity made my installation virtually seamless between the three entities.
