Florida Solar took care... ... of the permitting including dealing with our fussy HOA's and scheduled the installation. Their communication was excellent. The installation took less than a day and by the time the crew left we were producing electricity. Now that we are hooked up to the grid we have been producing a little more power than we are using and that is running to AC's. I am very pleased with our solar panels through Florida Solar Design Group and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering going solar.

Their proposal was more professional and transparent compared to the other proposals I had received. After a lot of research a few changes and a very patient sales team, we had a deal. I felt the best price from the most professional company. Every step of the way, FSDG performed as they said they would a head of schedule all done in the most professional way. That would be thanks to Susan!. Even FPL and Collier county performed ahead of all expectations and I was fully operational and productive a month and half a head off when I would have anticipated. No common supply chain issues or regulatory issues we have come to expect. The product looks better on the house than I expected and Jason was involved during the installation and personally trained me on the system that day when the install was done. I have waited a month to write a review because I kept waiting for something to go wrong. To date, I could not be happier and I recommend Florida Solar Design Group as the best contractor I ever worked with for any project. One last piece of advise, make sure you with a firm that has experience working with the county and electric company where you live, I believe that familiarity made my installation virtually seamless between the three entities.

During the design phase, they addressed all of our questions and provided multiple customized options so that we could choose... ... the system that works best for us. They made the permitting, HOA approval, and FPL net metering processes as easy as possible. Installation went very smoothly, and the end products looks great and is producing the expected output. FSDG communicated with us throughout the process and met or exceeded all of their commitments. I had a horrible experience with another solar company that just decided to up and disappear. I called Florida Solar Design and explained the situation I was in. Jason came... ... by and helped me on finishing the project and even correcting some of the error the original installers made. They helped me with my current solar system issues (NOTE: They did NOT install my current system) and did so... ... with enthusiasm and wonderful expertise. I recommend them as a highly knowledgeable, ethical, professional and top solar company with whom to do business.

The company's techs are SO knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Installation was exact and professional. They went though all the components (easy!) and answered post install questions... ... ASAP. Our panels are producing higher than what they promised...nice! One year after install...I'm changing my opinion on this company. The equipment is working fine...our tile roof has many cracked tiles that need replacing. My roofing company say they see this all all the time after solar panels are installed. $1640 to repair the tiles. Solar Design group of course denies any responsibility...says it was the hurricane. Our neighbors don't have cracked roof tiles after the hurricane. They say that the solar panels increase damage with strong winds, so it's not their fault but mine. Just beware you may have additional costs associated with this company that increase the payback period for your investment. If I had to do it over, I would not install the electric solar panels form this company, but just do the pool heat water panels they have.

Florida Solar Design Group was selected as the installer for the SWFL solar co-op. They had a great package. They weren't pushy at all. Answered all my questions.... ... When I finally decided to move forward, installation was quick and easy. They handled everything!

We are extremely happy with our complete dealings with Florida Solar Design Group. From the initial contact to the completed job (with Lee County electrical inspection, passed first time... ... with no issues). Definitely a first rate contractor.
