Florida Solar Design Group (FSDG), the newest player in the Southwest Florida solar market, has entered into a Sales Agency Agreement with Fafco Solar, a Florida State Certified Solar Contractor (CVC56701) serving the area for over 40 years. FSDG will be providing solar education and sales to Fafco Solar’s existing client base and prospective clients, and technical sales support to Fafco Solar both pre- and post-installation.

The company is owned by long-time employees of Fafco Solar, Jason Szumlanski and Dominick Zito, who have been providing professional sales support and technical services at the company for several years. Szumlanski and Zito will become independent agents as a result of this agreement, and will continue to serve Fafco Solar’s customers, resulting in a seamless transition. Customers both existing and prospective can expect an elevated level of sales support as a result of the partners’ teaming up. Szumlanski and Zito have complementary skills and interests, with Szumlanski focusing on the technical side, and Zito focusing on identifying solutions that meet consumers’ expectations with a high level of customer care.

“We plan to deliver an elevated product to Fafco Solar and end consumers, both of whom will be our customers,” said Szumlanski. “This business arrangement will allow Florida Solar Design Group to provide value-added services while becoming hyper-focused on our mutual customers.”

Fafco Solar President Dan Morrissey added, “Jason and Dominick are stars in the solar energy industry, and we are delighted to be working with them under these terms. This will be great for both Fafco Solar and our loyal and future customers.”

The sales agency agreement commences January 1, 2015. Until then, Szumlanski and Zito remain employed by Fafco Solar as they implement their transition plan.
